We're patiently watching for the crescent new moon to appear to mark the new year and the Feast of Trumpets. Stay tuned for the present truth regarding the timing for this year's feasts days.
If you want to join us in watching for the new moon, go out just after sunset and look to the west close to the horizon for the sliver of the new moon. The calculated time for the best viewing time in SC is Wednesday at 7:18 PM Eastern. According to cresentmoonwatch.org it will be possible but not likely to be seen from South Carolina on Tuesday September 30th. Those living in S. America will have a better chance of viewing it. Very likely, the new moon will be visible on Wednesday, October 1st not only in N. America but also in much of the world. Check here for the new moon chart, updated every month. Times are calculated by His Majesty's Nautical Almanac (http://websurf.nao.rl.ac.uk/). But we shall see. He that hath ears to hear, Let him hear!
