Could this indicate that Israel is planning to move against bigger targets than Southern Lebanon?

Qoute:  "Officials have expressed concerns that expanding the operation would be misinterpreted by Syria as preparation for an attack against it, even though Israel has repeatedly stated that it has no plans against Damascus."

The Israel Defense Forces will call up thousands of reserve soldiers and press its offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon until the guerrillas are crippled or the order is given to stop, IDF chief of Staff Dan Halutz said on Thursday.

Halutz told a news conference that the damage already inflicted on Hezbollah during Israel's 16-day offensive was "huge".

He said up to three divisions of reserve soldiers would be ordered to report for duty. That could amount to around 15,000 soldiers, or 5,000 troops per division.
