Dear Prophet;
Greetings Jacob! (first among equals) Blantant, and other such traps are designed by a ferocious and jealous God! He knows what manner of warfare these enemies of the cross will and must pursue for He Himself has put the hook in their jaw.
"Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.(Job 40:2)
Is it possible that these professors and so-called doctors of worldly wisdom not realize that we too have degrees and mountains of education that we have cast out joyfully onto the dunghills of the world. From Texas A&M and the Boston Conservatory to the lowliest state and community colleges the very first things we overcame were (and are) ourselves. I was an honours graduate in Business Administration (majored in Administrative Accounting). The world has no use for a Christian accountant, doctor, politician etc. Indeed it can't because the two cannot walk together unequally yolked. We have willingly laid down the pretensious letters that would have followed our names.(Dr., C.P.A., M.B.A. and Ph.D.) We have voluntarilly picked up the cross that heathen laugh at as we address each other with new letters Bro. and Sis.
Having gained a prophet and a more sure word of prophecy we have cast our accomplishments out in the draught. We count our new life as Christ and our death (to this world) as gain!
"But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung"
(Philippians 3:7-8)
It is a fearsome God that has delivered these wanton prophets of wind and vanity into the hands of the last son of man! He that is faithful and true has also delivered us into your hands that we might make straight our paths before Him.
"He shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies." (Isaiah 42:13)
"The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name." (Exodus 15:3)
The first thing any man of war does is set up a base from which to operate. The wise man of war will immediately establish a secure and defended perimeter. The secure perimeter protects all who are within and prevents all potential enemies from getting in.
Some defensive measures are as simple as a "sign" or a gate warning those who approach that there is something going on here that they have no business or part in! The matters and operations at hand simply do not concern them. Other defenses become more severe like barbed wire, trip-flares and even land mines. Blantant is like barbed wire, anyone who has to stop and ridicule the way a word is pronounced is entangled in a trap. They are demonstrating their ignorance in the workings of God while illuminating the sad fact that they obviously spent multiple or hundreds of thousands of dollars on higher education to no effect.
They now use their supposed superior knowledge for mockery, sarcasm and vile wickedness. For all their time spent learning, they could not read the sign that warns them that matters and operations here simply do not concern them. It is sad and even ironic that these theological cemetarians desire to see a miracle as proof of your (and our) credibility. Yet they refuse to consider the very fact that every day a simple, weary, uneducated 73 yr. old man can and does, daily encourage himself and the very few of like precious faith. It is all the more miraculous that the Overcomer reaches these few souls who do hear in spite of the fact that we are scattered across the face of the whole earth! Why is it that those who perish count almost everything as holy except the work that God has established right in front of their eyes!
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
(Matthew 13:14)
The Overcomer has one truly unique characteristic as a church. There are no parishioners. All minister to each other. Another thing we have in common is that at one point in our lives a question was answered. None of us were even aware that a question was hidden within our hearts. Almost like a hidden piece of computer code that's activated by an unknown programmer who issues a secret command. That unknown, hidden question was activated and answered when we, realized what a voice crying in the wilderness would sound like"? God who is forever faithful, has put a hook into our jaw also so that in hearing the "last day" message (and messenger) we might be saved!
"Stand Fast" is a military imperative command. It is an order given to those who WILL obey. In other words it is likened unto "fasten", to be still and be seen as fixed in place. Only the Father of lights and our salvation through Christ Jesus can cause a faithful remnant to "Stand Fast" in this perverse and evil generation. I salute you as prophet, as Jacob and as first among equals and I never cease to give thanks in prayer for your outstanding ability to endure and encourage all of us for whatever time the Father allows.
